about usintellectual

At King’s we believe people don’t care what you know until they know that you care.

Pastoral care is a vital part of our partnership with parents and pupils, founded on Christian values of dignity, tolerance and respect for the well being of others. We feel spirituality is life enhancing. The Chapel is at the heart of our school. Pupils attend weekly assemblies and voluntary communion services are held for pupils and parents.

Class teachers, subject teachers and Form Tutors are always available for pupils while Heads of Year monitor individuals pastoral needs and development. Parents may contact them at any time.

Our House system provides an outlet for good-natured competition in Music, Arts, Sports and Games that develop individual talents, build character and strengthen an individual’s sense of identity within the school. The Chaplain and the School Nurse are ever on hand to listen and provide quiet time for those who need it.

No one hides their talents at King’s. We are also aware that a little learning can be a dangerous thing and we all need grounding from time to time. Our pastoral structure allows everyone to grow in a way that is not resented by others.

We are proud of our reputation for caring for our pupils needs.
